A Candidate is a unique Corpus enemy. They can be mercied at low health to spawn a Sister of Parvos.
Candidates will only spawn upon qualifying for Rank 1 rewards or greater of the Nightmare difficulty (using a Zenith Granum Crown) in the Granum Void of any mission in the Corpus Ship tileset. Players must also have completed The War Within and Call of the Tempestarii quests to be able to summon one. As a Kuva Lich and a Sister of Parvos can't be active at the same time, a player with a currently active Lich or Sister will be unable to spawn a Candidate if solo, and unable to knock down a spawned Candidate if grouped, causing the Candidate to die immediately.

Notes
- Since Candidates only spawn after entering the Granum Void with a Zenith Granum Crown, this would mean a Sister of Parvos can only be "born" on Venus, Mars, Phobos, Jupiter, Europa, Neptune, and Pluto.
- Although not the dominant tileset, there is at least one node on Mars, Jupiter, and Europa that uses the Corpus Ship tileset and thus by extension gives access to the Golden Hand Tributes; Gradivus and Wahiba on Mars, Adrastea on Jupiter, and Valac on Europa.
- As Interception missions and Defense missions onboard Corpus Ships do not have Golden Hand Tributes, those mission nodes generally cannot be used to summon Candidates. The starting room where players spawn in might have a Tribute, but not the tile where the mission takes place.
- If a Candidate is downed and left alone for 30 seconds, it will die without creating a Sister.
- Once downed, the Candidate will display an icon and name of the Tenet Weapon the created Sister will possess above its head, when standing within 3 meters of it.
- If the Candidate is ignored, upon extracting from the mission the displayed weapon will not show up again in the pool until the entire weapon pool is rejected.
- In a co-op session, only the player who delivers the killing blow is allowed to mercy the Candidate and generate a Sister.
- A prospective weapon icon will appear only when a Candidate has finished kneeling animation. If a Candidate is suspended mid-animation, e.g. by
Path of Statues, it can still be mercied but with no icon to indicate a weapon. - A Candidate shares the same waypoint icon with the Treasurer, thus can sometimes be confusing if both a Candidate and a Treasurer spawn.
Tips
- Consider doing missions in Solo mode to ensure that you bring the Candidate's health down to mercy it.
- Be mindful of which Progenitor Warframe you are using when looking to summon a Sister, to ensure you get the element bonus that you want on the Sister's weapon. This section is transcluded from Lich System/Progenitor . To change it, please edit the transcluded page.

- Be aware that you can preview the Sister's weapon by standing near the Candidate before creating her with a mercy kill. If you do not want the weapon, ignore the downed Candidate and finish the mission. Note that abandoning the mission will not remove the weapon from the pool.
- Level 31+ missions are recommended, as treasurers will drop Zenith Granum Crowns, allowing you to repeat the same mission to spawn another candidate.
Trivia
- A Candidate seems to be a female variant of the Treasurer. The most notable differences between the two are that the Candidates have a more bronze-aesthetics around them and their faces are hidden behind a mask.
Bugs
- Candidates sometimes won't spawn even after meeting the necessary criteria (Zenith Coin, Rank 1, and completed quests). This may be caused by the player completing the Granum Void too close to extraction since the spawn point might be based on a set number of rooms left to traverse. It's advised to only attempt the Granum Void if you find a Golden Hand close to the start of the level rather than the end for a higher success rate.[1][2]
- Casting
Ensnare on a Candidate will cause the metal wire to appear around her body but will not immobilise her in any way. - The weapon may not appear above a Candidate's head when downed if a Treasurer is alive. Killing the Treasurer may restore the missing weapon visual but they must be killed quickly.

- ADVERSARY WEAPON GENERATION - QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGE
As the pool of Adversary weapons grows and your checklist fills out, the natural chance of finding a Progenitor (Larvling or Candidate) with the exact weapon you desire shrinks. This Adversary Weapon Generation Quality of Life change is meant to reduce randomness over time of what weapon a Progenitor Candidate (Sister) or Larvling (Kuva Lich) can spawn with.
How it works:
By skipping a Progenitor (choosing not to Mercy them) the spawned weapon is then put into a ‘reject’ pile for that round of Adversary generation, meaning that it will not appear again and ultimately reducing the weapon pool each time you ‘reject’.
The list of rejected weapons is cleared once you accept an Adversary and the process would start again from a clean slate for both Sister or Kuva Lich the next time you go looking for an Adversary. This list clearing applies to both Sister and Kuva Lich, meaning once the chosen Adversary is Converted or Vanquished, the list clears for both factions.
Test Cluster change: Kuva Lich/Sister of Parvos weapon reject list will now reset if you reject every possible weapon.
