Alignment is WARFRAME's representation of the player's morality as a reflection of the Tenno's state of mind and the resulting consequences to their internal psyche. It is measured by a single sliding scale, whose meter represents the congregation of the player's Sun, Neutral and Moon choices accumulated throughout quests.

WARFRAME's alignment system places emphasis on how the player acts, rather than what they chose. A different choice of the same action will not necessarily result in a different outcome; therefore, being pragmatic throughout the storyline will not stop the Tenno from helping someone, but nor will being passionate stop the Tenno from spiting a villain.

By default, all players start out with Neutral alignment. Currently, the only quests where players can affect their alignment choices are The Duviri Paradox, The War Within, The Glast Gambit, The Sacrifice, The New War, Whispers in the Walls, and The Hex. Players can only affect their choices on the first playthroughs of said quests, which will permanently record the player's choice on their account. While players can replay the quests to try out a different choice, the result will not affect the player's recorded alignment.

Sun

Sun alignment is gained by choosing actions which make the player passionate and hasty. The Sun measurement is colored white. Here are the following choices that tilt the scale towards the left:

Neutral

Neutral alignment is gained by choosing actions representing a balanced state of mind between inaction and action. The Neutral measurement is a colored black and white. Here are the following choices that tilt the scale towards the center:

Moon

Moon alignment is gained by choosing actions that makes the player pragmatic and idealistic. The Moon measurement is colored black. Here are the following choices that tilt the scale towards the right:

Consequences

Currently, there are no known major gameplay changes for siding with an alignment scale.
